LABORATORY SERVICES
Peneza Hospital Laboratory is one of the key departments in the institution. The Medical
Laboratory plays a key role in disease diagnosis, management of disease progression and
also helps to confirm the completion of disease state in the human system.

Our lab is one of the best equipped laboratory in the region, well-staffed and is offering a wide range of both routine and specialized tests. The laboratory is headed by a Senior

Laboratory Technologist/ Managing Director with over 10years experience in supervision of

laboratory operations. The Managing director leads a team of highly qualified and

experienced Laboratory personnel who work promptly together with highly sophisticated

machines to deliver client results in time.

Before we start any test, we observe the daily house-keeping chores to assure quality of our

reports. We are also enrolled in External Quality Assurance protocols for both internal quality assurance and benchmarking.

Our Services:

At Peneza Hospital Laboratory, we offer all routine, specialized and referral Laboratory tests. We work to ensure no client is referred for a test and for the case of rare laboratory tests ordered we have partnered with highly established and accredited Laboratory set-ups such as: Pathologies Lancet Kenya & Pathcare Kenya for sample processing and results dispatched timely.


Our Clinical department comprises of:

i. Hematology- This is the examination of blood samples to diagnose

conditions such as anemia, leukemia and clotting factors disorders.

ii. Clinical Chemistry- This is the analysis of blood and other body fluids

such as CSF and Urine to assess organ function, detect metabolic

disorders and monitor treatment responses.

iii. Microbiology- This refers to the identification of infectious agents like

bacteria, viruses and fungi to guide an appropriate antimicrobial

therapy.

iv. Immunology- This is the evaluation of immune systems response to

infectious autoimmune diseases and allergies through tests like EISA

and immunofluorescence.

v. Molecular Diagnostics- This is the utilization of advanced techniques to

detect, genetic markers associated with diseases for personalized

treatment approaches.

3. Home/Office Sample Collection – we provide client sample collection at

there homes or office and deliver the results promptly to the individual upon

doctors request.

Laboratory Service Charter:

At Peneza Hospital Laboratory, we encourage both Doctor-Patient Lab requests and

Self-request Clients (Walk-ins). Walk-ins are required to make inquiry with regards to

the tests menu and the price allocated for every test. Some of the test’s clients can

make self-requests; HIV Counselling and testing, Pap smear, High vaginal swab

examinations, malaria testing, blood sugar monitoring, pregnancy tests, hemoglobin

levels etc. We provide affordable prices for all our laboratory tests.

NB: We highly recommend that all our walk-in clients to see a doctor who will order

the tests, interprete the results and recommend the possible management.
